This card measures 55x85mm and is printed by four colour offset litho on one side only (4/0) on 400gm gloss art board. The printed surface has been sealed with a very thin transparent lacquer film.
The photographic image is set on a cream background: the cream is printed, not part of the card. The cream "bleeds" off the card. If designing similar cards it helps to have the border a little wider than this: certainly no thinner, because unavoidable small errors in print and trim will become quite noticeable.
Business card sizes vary: this size is popular because it matches that of a credit card, and so fits into the pockets of most wallets and purses.
The 400gm board used here is of substantial thickness. It is probably the heaviest grade of board in general use for business cards.
Any quantity of cards may be ordered, but prices are based only on 100; 250; 500; 1250; 2500; 5000; and per 5000 thereafter. The pricing curve becomes fairly proportional to quantity at 500, and straightens appreciably at 5000.
Full colour (4/4), or black-only (4/1), print can be added to the back (at extra cost). We can send you samples of these.
Round corners (rc), although not appropriate for a design with a square frame such as this, can be added (at extra cost). We can send you a sample of this.
Gloss (g-lam) or matte laminate (m-lam) can be added to front or front and back (at extra cost). We can send you a sample of these.
Large quantities (1250 or more) can be printed on thinner card (350gm) with a shinier, thicker varnish on the surface, at less cost. We can send you a sample of these.
We can supply a handy PVC wallet to hold two dozen cards; cardboard boxes, with lids, for 100 or so cards; plastic boxes, with lids, for bulk storage (at extra cost).
