High View Proofing

The image, below, shows how your job will print. The boundaries represent the size of paper you have chosen, and the spacing and layout is as it will appear on that page. This page will be deleted from the www when proofing is complete. Although it is in the public domain, it is very unlikely that anyone will stumble across this page unless you notify them of the URL.

For ease of transmission over the www, the quality has been downgraded. A printout of this page may be a little clearer than the screen view. We can arrange a higher quality proof for display on the www, or we can prepare a pdf file, at extra cost. Alternatively we can print out and post to you by first class post without additional charge (if you have allowed time for this).

It is important to check proofs carefully. Work sent to us by disc or e-mail undergoes minor changes between computers that may be of importance to you. Our job reference number, in tiny type, may have been added to the job in an inconspicuous manner: this helps us considerably.

Please remember three important matters:

(1) Once proofs are approved by you, then the liability for any error that is not notified to High View, is yours. This means that the cost of the printed job, and of any reprint and delivery, and any consequential liabilities, are entirely the responsibility of the person signing-off the proof.

(2) Author's corrections (alterations to rectify matters not of our doing) are chargeable as extras; as are additional proofs if they are required. (We do, frequently, attend to minor amendments without charge, especially for established customers who do not take advantage of this.)

(3) Our normal time scales for work start with "Day 1", being the next full working day after receipt of approval, not after submission of proofs. (Today's work schedule has already been planned - work that comes in during the day will be scheduled at tomorrow's planning meeting.) Where clients wish to have work done more quickly than this, then an extra fee (to be agreed beforehand) will apply. Any particular job may only take a few hours to print, but paper has to be ordered and delivered, plates have to be made, staff have to be allocated to the job, and equipment made available. Jobs are generally undertaken on a first-in-first-out basis: you have to join the queue! In this way we are able to maintain our standards of not letting any customer down. Clients who wish to "book-a-job-in" at a specific time are welcome to do so. There is an extra charge for this service, and an additional fee applies if the job is not presented by the client at the agreed time.
